My second passion - jazz!
Music has fascinated and been with me throughout my whole life, in a conscious way even much longer than acting. Already as a child and teenager I discovered a great passion for music. I sang in the school choir, took singing lessons and, after many years of cello lessons, switched to classical piano.
During my studies in Berlin, where my focus was almost exclusively on theatre, I realized how much I was missing the deep connection with music. I became especially aware of this during the musical rehearsals for "Faust I and II" under the direction of Herbert Grönemeyer at the Berliner Ensemble. A stay in New York in 2019 and jazz lessons with the trumpeter Dave Scott and the singer Jocelyn Medina moved me so persistently that the love of music and especially jazz has not let me go since. I took it upon myself to also pursue my dream as a musician. Since 2019, jazz singer and coach Heidi Krenn in particular has been me on this journey. I give concerts as a jazz singer, in recent years, among others, in the ZWE, Frau Mayer and the Prevenhuberhaus in Lower Austria.
Inspiration and future
My idols in jazz singing are Sarah Vaughan, Carmen McRae and Dianne Reeves. My favorite artists who explore the cutting edge of jazz to neo-soul, R&B and hip-hop are Erykah Badu, Little Simz and Robert Glasper. Great inspiration is also the music of the duo of pianist Vardan Ovsepian and singer Tatiana Parra.
I am in the phase of finding my own musical style, drawing creative energy through many different genres. I compose on the piano, for instrumental pieces and my own songs as a singer. Concerts are being planned.
